Yoga Therapy for Anxiety 6-week series
Whether or not you have been diagnosed with anxiety, you have likely been feeling it in your body and your mind. Most of us have experienced a great deal of stress the past couple of years. Uncertainty and fear have kept our nervous systems activated. This state of activation can take its toll on our physical bodies, as well as our peace of mind. Yoga Therapy for Anxiety will teach you techniques to guide your body out of a state of activation and restore your body to a state of calm.
Anxiety doesn’t only affect our bodies and minds, it affects our energy, our relationships, and our perspective on life. Some of the most common symptoms of anxiety are tightness and pain in the physical body, low/high energy levels, and an ongoing loop of negative mind chatter. This series will teach you movements to reduce pain, breathing to regulate your energy, and meditation and chanting to focus your mind. This multi-faceted approach is especially helpful because it addresses the many different dimensions of our human experience and how anxiety manifests uniquely in each of us.
Space is limited. All students will do a short intake with Jen so she can provide some individualized instruction within the small group.
No yoga experience necessary. All are welcome!

Yoga Therapy for Anxiety & Perimenopause
Menopause is a natural biological process. The years leading up to it, however, might feel anything BUT natural if you’re experiencing hot flashes, irregular periods, weight gain, mood swings, or disrupted sleep. Many of us are noticing some of these changes happening gradually but aren’t sure if it’s perimenopause or stress or (likely) some combination of the two. Yoga Therapy recognizes that physical, emotional, and cognitive influences are inextricably linked and to soothe one, we must soothe them all.
This Yoga Therapy workshop is designed to address BOTH symptoms that accompany peri-menopause AND the stress and anxiety we face in our everyday lives. When you reduce stress, your body is more comfortable. And when your body is comfortable, the world around you seems a little less chaotic.
Class will include some combination of movement, breathing, visualization, chanting, and community connection. No yoga experience necessary.
